Um...a question

I've searched all over LJ and just can't find it...how do I go about making my LJ friends only, and have a nifty post that everyone can see with the FO banner like I've seen some people have (not looking at essene, cause her pretty journal doesn't make me jealous at all).

Not even the FAQ is helping me. It tells me how to do it, but won't tell me where to go to do what it is that I need to do.

And dammit, I need some sugar.

But for all your old posts, you'll have to go in and f-lock them if they're not already. There's no way to go back and retroactively lock them at once that I know of.

As far as I understand there isn't a special way that the lj people set it up so that you can do it. What everybody else does is simply this, They post a post and date it far far into the future thus it stays at the top of your LJ. And then if you want all your old posts to become friends only you have to go back and manually edit them and lock them. Any new posts also have to be manually friends locked for them to friends only..

Thanks. I think I have it worked out. Now I just need to go back and make all my past posts FO.
