(no subject)

Hey all. I've been looking everywhere that I can think of to look. What I want is a handheld ebook reader. I used to have an eBookman from Franklin, but it got broken and now they don't even sell those on the website, much less anywhere local.

Do any of you have any ideas for an affodable, handheld device that you can just download .txt files into for reading on the go? Maybe some links I can visit to check em out? I'm dying here and the laptop is great, but not really good for taking to work.

After reading rubywisp's post the other day with the slash survey in it, this idea popped up in my head. And tonight it chose to flow from my fingers. It's completely unbeta'd, so I'm not at all sure of how good it is. Nor do I know if it's going anywhere or will end right where it is. But here ya go.

...but I think I remember something that someone said about maybe planning another Writercon for 2006 or 2007?

If so, and I don't even know if any of the Writercon people are reading this, but do you think it'd be possible or if anyone would be interested in having a panel or discussion on how to give feedback and/or how to respond to it?

I know that I myself have a hard time finding the words to use to properly thank someone when I've loved their fic. For some reason, 'thank you' or 'I love this' doesn't seem like enough when you read other people's feedback where they've picked out portions of the fic and described how they responded to it.

And I think that's why I don't leave feedback usually. It just seems inadequate somehow.
