Anyway, very long day today. Had to get up early to look at fabric pieces with mom. She's determined that any new furniture we buy match both the carpet and the walls. All my attempts to explain that it's not hard to find colors that match both white and beige at the same time were completely ignored.

Had to go in to work at 2pm this afternoon. Upon arriving, I find out that one employee has quit "because my mom told me I had to". Would have been find, we still had three closers, plus cafe. But oh no, that just wouldn't work. Turns out Lisa (the GM) took one of our closers to help open this morning and didn't cover his shift, so we were stuck with just two closers, plus cafe.

This? Sucks.

Gods, I've never wanted to use kids for target practice before, but tonight was one of those nights. I spent the entire time I was at work constantly fixing both the magazine racks and the kid's section. Both of which had tornado's go through them on an hourly basis.

They just don't pay me enough for this kind of treatment.

But the worst thing was that we close at 9pm, supposed to be out of the store by 9:30, 10:00 at the latest. It was 10:35pm when we left. I was about ready to tear my hair out and my feet felt like elephants had been walking on them.

Now I'm going to take an extremely hot bath and go to bed after reading another chapter of my book and another thread of shameless_rpg, which I've started over from the beginning because I let myself get so far behind. Once I've finished it, I'll start dinner_date over.

What's this new RPG you two have going and when will I be allowed to read it?

Also, does it speed up the process at all to know that I'm already hooked on it and don't even know the pairing and/or what it's about?

All you people out there that watch Battlestar Gallactica...

...I've just recently been able to sit and watch the miniseries that came on SciFi channel a long while back. I was wondering if I started watching the series now, when it's almost half way through a season, would it be too confusing for me to pick up the plotline? Should I even bother trying to get into it now or should I just wait for the dvds to hit the market?
