It's my Ruby's bday. That makes this the happiest day of theweek month year. Hope you get everything you want and some stuff you didn't know you wanted honey. You deserve it. *hugs*
ION, I've been rather quiet for a while now, haven't I? Some of it is because I was out of town working in Destin for a while. The rest is because I just never had time to even check email, much less read lj. That means that anything that's happened since my last post has been missed. Could you update me if anything important happened or if I missed anything I shouldn't have? I'm just too lazy to go back and read a month's worth of posts.
The good news is that my schedule is supposed to be getting better after this coming week. The assistant manager has promised that I'll start having my days off together and then morning shifts on the weekends. But as her last day is tomorrow, I don't know if the next scheduler will hold up this bargain or not. I guess only time will tell.
The bad news is that it looks like I'm not going to be getting the promotion I was up for. Noone's said anything definitive yet, but it looks like it's going to someone else. Eh, it's okay though. I'm not sure if I even wanted it anyway.
Today promises to be full though. Trying to help my mom do this debt consolidation thingie that she's determined to do and taking her to get her hair done. Yeah, that's the makings of a great day.
More bad news. My desktop is dead. It works fine, but I can't get online with it. My ethernet port/card thingie died. I fixed that, replaced it with a new one. But for some reason it won't connect and now I can't even get it to dial up using AOL. That means that my only computer is this laptop until I can repair and/or replace the desktop. This is why I'm helping mom with the debt consolidation. She says there'll be some money left over and she's going to try to help me get a new desktop.
Everyone cross your fingers.
Now I have to run get ready for the hairdressers.
