Oct. 4th????!!!!!

I'm not known for my patience. Anyone who knows me can tell you that. But my question today is, should I "come into possession of" season 8 of Stargate SG-1, or just go ahead and wait until Oct and buy it? I mean, I'm going to buy all the seasons, eventually, but I'm only 3 discs away from the end of season 7, thanks to Netflix, and I'm already jonesing for more like a crack addict in a buttless society.
