Work was actually fun today. I got to be all authoritative and stuff, telling people what they were going to do, scheduling breaks, writing someone up for not doing what I told her to do. I was actually giddy by the time I left. Then I had to make a quick stop by Kinko's that took a lot longer that we'd planned, about an hour too long. But, while they were dealing with the fact that they'd somehow deleted our company account, I ran next door to Movie Stop and found Stargate Season 3, used, for $20. They also had the entire Nightmare on Elm Street collection on DVD for $40 and I got a used copy of Chicken Little for $9.99. I was a very happy, if somewhat poorer, camper when I left. I may still go back, they have a huge selection of TV box sets that are pretty cheap, if you can find the used ones. The new ones, not so much. For new, they wanted $52.99 for the Stargate seasons. I nearly went into shock. They're like $38.99 everywhere else.
Finally got home to find that I did not, in fact, have to cook dinner. My Aunt Denise took us all out for chinese and it was gooooood. Sweet and Sour Chicken, crab rangoon, and veggie fried rice. Is there anything better? OMG.
Now, I'm going to take a shower and curl up with my laptop and try to watch more of Stargate Season 8 before I have to pass out for the night. Gotta be back at work to open in the morning.
I love opening when there are no other managers there. We have so much fun and shit actually gets done. Our Area Coordinator and Loss Prevention guys were really impressed that everything was going so smoothly when they stopped in today.
