Update on me and the fic.

I had my first day of training class for the new job today. It went pretty good. The first half of the day was so very boring, as it was spent mostly doing paperwork and watching orientation slideshows. But, after lunch, it picked up when we actually started going over material. We also got to look at the computer system they use and it's so sweet. Their computers are super fast and it looks like the programs they use are easy to learn and navigate.

And I tried to get something done on the fic earlier, but it just didn't happen. Mostly due to the studying, but also because I just couldn't concentrate due to this headache that started right after class today and just wouldn't go away.

But, when I couldn't sleep tonight, I went back over what I'd written last night and was able to pick it back up and get a bit more done.

I voted!!!!

There really weren't any lines at my polling place. That could have something to do with the fact that it was about 6pm when I was able to get there.

In all the years that I have been voting, I have never felt good after doing so. But today, I do. I finally feel that, for the first time, I am not voting for the lesser of two evils, I am not voting for someone so that I'll be against someone else. I have finally, for the first time, voted my conscience. And it felt GOOD!!

This is the first time I have ever worn that little 'I voted' sticker they give you because for the first time, I feel like my vote mattered.
