Sometimes, your boss can really piss you off without even being present

So, I had to work today. When I left for work this afternoon, I inexplicably forgot my lunch on the kitchen counter, leaving me to face a nearly 10 hour shift with nothing to eat, because I had no money left on my card after doing the majority of my Christmas shopping this past week.

Just now, I was checking to see if my paycheck had been put on my card yet, since it is just after midnight, and discovered that we actually got paid LAST night, and no one thought to tell us we were getting paid early. I'm pissed because I sat at work, starving, for hours when I could have walked across the street and gotten something to eat.

I really don't want to go to work today. This was supposed to be my day off, but I got guilted into working by my boss....this would be before the part where they pissed me off by not telling us we were getting paid early.

What I really want to do is curl up in my bed and read stoney1's Where There's Smoke (seriously, if you aren't reading this, then you just aren't a Glee fan). Oh, and the cookies...I don't even really like cookies all that much, but I have been craving lately...so I want cookies in my self-imposed cocoon of reading.

Someone, work on making me independently wealthy?
