I'm thinking of writing my first, and possibly only, Harry Potter fic. The more of it I read, the more this one thing enters my mind, but I want to check my facts first.



1. In all the books, is it ever told whether the Weasley's knew the Potter's?

2. If so, why did J.K. Rowling never once think to have Harry ask Molly or Arthur about his parents? I mean, he went around asking just about everyone. He even asked Snape once or twice, if I'm not mistaken.

3. That's kinda all I really needed to know. If the Weasley's DID know the Potter's, and Harry hasn't ever talked with them about his parents, I have the missing scene/conversation fic mostly plotted out. But if the answer to both those questions is a resounding negative, then I guess I'll have to scrap the idea.

No I don't think the Weasley's ever knew James and Lily Potter. Although both families were members of 'Order of the Phoenix' it was at different times. Arthur is related to Sirius and Sirius was James Potter's best friend, was even kind of adopted by James parents when Sirius' disowned him... but still I'm pretty sure that they didn't know each other the Weasley's and the Potters.

Shouldn't stop you from writing the fic though, I don't know that there is anything concrete saying they didn't know the Potters!

I may go ahead and write it anyway. Since it's already half formed in my head. Besides, it's just a short piece, really just a conversation between Harry and Molly in the middle of the night - and for some reason, in my head, I see it happening immediately following Bill and Fleur's wedding.

Molly and Arthur weren't part of the original Order. I think. They are also significantly older than Harry's parents and wouldn't have been at Hogwarts when they were.

Yes, but it could be AU. For some reason, the idea won't leave me alone. Harry either showing up at the Burrow in the middle of the night or being in the kitchen really late when Molly comes downstairs.

I don't know about working sex into it. It's really just a small piece to get Molly Weasley and Harry to have a conversation I think they should have had ages ago.

As for Harry/Cedric, I'm afraid I've kind of settled on the OTP of Harry/Draco.

Imagine if Harry had needed help with that egg once he got into the bathtub. Wouldn't Moaning Murtle have been horrified to come in and see Harry with Draco's cock in his mouth while he listened to Mermaid songs?
