Burning DVDs

I've recently decided to backup some of my digital movies onto DVDs and have run into a bit of a snag. Those of you who have experience, if you could help me out, I would be grateful.

When writing the name of the movie onto the DVD, I've heard from some people that using a Sharpie isn't advisable, as it can eat through the DVD, or something like that, and cause it to become unplayable. I've also just found out that Dry/Erase markers are a bad idea as well, for obvious reasons. I've tried Laundry markers, but the ink goes on so lightly that it becomes difficult to read.

Any suggestions?

There are CD/DVD markers! I've used them forever and they work like a charm, no problems ever. I use the Memorex markers, they're pretty cheap and work awesome, though any brand will work, usually. You can find them at any office store (or big has-everything-in-the-world stores like Walmart, Kmart, Target). You can usually find them by the blank CDs and DVDs. If you'd rather buy them online, check Google shopping for CD/DVD markers - tons to choose from!

ooo, YAY!! Thank you. I had no idea they made special markers just for this. This news actually makes me feel kind of stupid that I didn't know that.

Don't feel stupid!! Most people just use Sharpies, ill-advised as it may be. :P
