I'm bad...

I haven't read flist tonight at all. Got off work late, then ran with Mom to the store for bags full of snack/junk food to keep in the house. Our only redeeming quality is that, instead of soda, we bought Propel flavored water. But, to offset that, we got a LOT of chocolate. We're horrible, but we're happy(ish).

Also, just wanted to let a few people know something, in case you mind (and if you do, I can totally take you off, if that's what you want). [livejournal.com profile] entrenous88, [livejournal.com profile] ladycat777, [livejournal.com profile] neverneverfic, [livejournal.com profile] viciouswishes, and [livejournal.com profile] xanphibian - I added you guys to my "network" in del.icio.us. I've had the account thingie for a while now, but I just never really knew what to do with it. But after losing all my links, once again, I've found the beauty of having a back up.

Also, if anyone else has a del.icio.us account thingie, and doesn't mind, you can leave me a link in comments and I'll totally add you. This will also keep down the pleas for more fic links. It won't stop them, but it'll reduce them by about 2.5%

My del.icio.us account, if anyone's even remotely interested - luvxander

One last thing. I have a question for anyone that may have a PSP and know the answer.

I have a PSP and someone mentioned that you can save txt files to the memory card, using a USB cable, and the PSP will act as a ebook reader. Does anyone know if you have to have the program like you do for video files? Or can you just plug it into your computer and move the files to it like an external modem.

Last last thing - does anyone mind if I save your fics in txt files to carry around with me? I doubt most will, but I wouldn't want to offend, even accidentally.

Night all.

to actually store them, as far as I'm aware, you can just transfer them. but you probably need an ebook reader prog to actually use them.

hope i'm not talking out of my ass, as you're aware, I do not yet have one of the wonderous machines. but my dad does(don't ask) and I've watched him futz with it.

The only way I've found to do it is to email it to yourself and get it that way using the wireless internet part. But I went to <a href="http://www.sony.com>the Sony website</a> and sent in a question about how to do this to the customer service and they're supposed to get back to me withing 24-72 hours. I'll try to remember to let you know what they say, but my memory is like Swiss Cheese, if the cheese and holes switched places.

Oh, that's fine, with the network thing. Don't you love del.icio.us? I had planned on using it only for fandom/fanfic, but other things have snuck in since it's such a great way to organize links and bookmarks.

The .txt thing is fine -- I guess I'd just ask that you not share the files with anyone else in that format, and/or make sure the author name goes on the pages if it is printed out (like in a header at the top with EntreNous, 3). Um. I'm a big believe in being over-careful? But you asked. :D

Trust me, I'm big with the over-careful thing too. I always use the author's header on anything I save and print out. If the author doesn't have one, I create one for the fic with Title, Author, Pairing, Rating, and a short Summary. Even then, the fics are for my use only. Whenever I share fics with other people, I email them links. The fics that I print out and put in binders either get read and thrown away, or they get read and placed on the shelf in my closet (I have Shacking Up up there now, I went in and bolded all the chapter part numbers and it has a really pretty binder and I even printed out a picture of Xander, Spike, and some guy that I thought reminded me of what Davy might look like - a kinda twinky 19 yr old guy).

And, while I have your undivided attention (unless you've already deleted the comment), I started Temporary today on my lunch break and I absolutely adore it. While I do want more Twelve Hours (for the totally smuttiness, of course), I also want much much much much more of Temporary.

Not that I want to put any pressure on you. I'd never want that. I just totally love your fic and devour every word. You even got me to read Giles/Xander and non-Xander pairings.

I was also wanting to ask about the Larry/Xander fic, Lunch Money, that's listed on your site. It says not yet posted under the title but, is this something you've written and posted elsewhere, like your journal or update group, or just something you're planning to write at a future date? I'd hate to think that I've missed one of your fics, especially such an underused pairing as Larry/Xander.

And now that I've gushed until even I'm rolling my eyes, I'll let you go on to more important things.

Oh, cool, that's helpful to hear. And heee to the image of Davy!

I'm so glad you like Temporary so far. I'm going to try (*crosses fingers*) to update that this week. Right now I'm going to work on Twelve Hours, when I get a spare hour.

I *sort of* started to post Lunch Money, in that I've rewritten some of it as a Xander/Larry short fic, though it's radically different from how I first wrote the scene (the story is called Misunderstanding). I'm planning to write follow-ups to that fic and basically re-write parts of Lunch Money to get the story out, though in this newer form.

It's great that you asked about it, actually, because it's one of those things that I have on the back burner. Helpful to be reminded, so I can try to get at another one of the stories that would fit in that sequence.

Heeeee, I've babbled a fair bit myself here. *zooms off*
