God, I'm so tired. I have no idea why I'm still awake. I guess it just fits with the rest of the day.
I was late getting to work because my car ran out of gas. I was late going to lunch because my mom didn't bring me anything like she said she would. I was late leaving work because of stupid paperwork. I was late getting home because my mom wanted to stop and pick up dinner (instead of the Olive Garden like she said). Late showering because we had everyone and their mother in our house tonight. And now late getting into bed because of the late shower. Yep, seems like a great day.
I so can't wait for Christmas to be over, if for no other reason than that the shoppers will return from their savage, sub-human behavior to their normal, sub-human behavior. Not to mention that we're losing one employee this week in cafe because she decided at the last minute, like AFTER I'd already made out the schedule (after checking with everyone to see if they needed special days off), that she was going to be leaving on the 21st and returning on the 26th. Thanks for the notice Amanda.
Not that I begrudge her the time away with her family, but she could have, at least, given me more than 2 days notice. I was 2 seconds away from telling her that she could either work the schedule or take all the time she wanted to look for another job. But it was just my anger talking and I let myself calm down before talking to her about it. I seem to be getting better at that.
Also, if anyone's keeping score, you'll notice that this is 2 fics in a month. After a year or so of my muse being MIA, he seems to have returned, and brought the whole family with him. But I'm not complaining. I've gotten some positive feedback from both so far, I just hope they live up to it.
Now I'm off to bed, so I'll see you loverly people later. Night.
