So, I was driving home from the grocery store today and I saw this billboard sign about the merger of Verizon and Alltel. The caption said "Verizon and Alltel: Better Together". And the first thing that popped into my head was, "I wonder if anyone else thinks about the Verizon guy doing naughty, possibly illegal, things to the Alltel guy?"

So there's your homework kids, answer that.

I was supposed to go to one of my weekly trivia nights tonight, this being the first week since we changed from Mondays at Mellow Mushroom to Wednesdays at Hopjacks. Since I don't know exactly where Hopjacks is, I was supposed to catch a ride with Margaret and Jason. Only they decided not to go. By the time I found out, it was too late to make other arrangements, so I didn't get to participate.

Instead, I spent most of my night just trying to decide what I wanted to watch to kill time. Since our cable is out, my options were severely limited. I finally settled on Being Human. I started with the pilot episode and am now on the second episode of the actual series itself.

It really is a very good show. I was happy about the casting changes for the characters of Mitchell and Annie. Mitchell was too tall and too skinny and I really didn't like the whole black coat and umbrella thing he had going. And Annie's voice was annoying in an extremely major way.

I was further saddened by the fact that the shows in my DVR queue are down to only five. I cleared out the shows that have been canceled and the stuff I don't actually watch anymore and am left with One Tree Hill, Supernatural, Smallville, Heroes, and Dollhouse. Hopefully, I'll be able to add more to that list once the new season starts. There seem to be some pretty good shows coming out.

Speaking of which, I found out tonight that Victor Webster (the hottie who played Brendon on Mutant X) is going to be playing Caleb, the gay character on the remake of Melrose Place. I was going to watch it anyway, but just keep it as a guilty pleasure. I'm very excited to have found my flimsy excuse should anyone call me on it. I would start praying now, if I thought it'd do any good, for CW to relax it's stance on male nudity in it's prime time lineup.

I can't really think of anything else to say and I suppose I've bored you people long enough. I'll just leave you with this George quote from Being Human, because I found it to be hilarious.

Any British peeps out there who can shed light on whether or not he's right? I already know it's not common practice to speak to your neighbors when you live in New York City.

George: We have to put a stop to this. Doesn't he understand? These people are British. You're not allowed to talk to your neighbors until you've nodded to them for 15 years.

I think the guy in profile is Victor. I know he signed my Days of our Lives book.

Yes, that's him. Not the blond guy, but the hot piece of brick house in the background. I would pay a fortune I don't even have for one hour in his company.

It was a free signing some years back at Fan Expo, when Mutant X was starting up. I mostly got in line for Lex Luthor, but I had seen Victor on Days. The whole cast seemed like nice people, but I couldn't bring myself to watch the show.
