Hi!

I realize that I have been absent from LJ for quite a while now. There was a lot of stuff happening. There was the illness, and death, of my best friend's son first and foremost. I really would like to thank each and every person who commented with love and support. I can't begin to tell you how much it meant and how much it helped. I apologize for not replying to each one of you individually, but I just couldn't..I can't explain.

In the midst of all this, there was school going on. I actually dropped my Geology class because the professor insulted me on such a deeply personal level that it's hard to articulate it. But still, I have had papers and exams and projects and labs and I'm just so tired of it all. I really cannot wait until summer, when I'm going to have a three month break from school.

After the funeral was over and school returned to its pseudo-normal state, there was the decision that I would move in with Nancy in order to help her out with her mother and the bills that are piling up. This has been a pain in the ass in a real way, as I detest moving.

Now, though, things do seem to be slowing down somewhat. Work is busy, as usual, but we finally have more help, so I'm not working nearly as many hours, which is a good thing!

I am hoping that this return to normalcy means that I shall be around a bit more often, but we'll see. I have class tonight until around 8pm, but once I'm home, I shall be online.


And this purge of information, while helpful to get everything off my chest, does nothing to answer the question that brought me to the internet in the first place.........what shall I fix for dinner?

LOL! We had that a few nights ago. I finally decided on pork chops, seasoned with zesty italian dressing, garlic mashed potatoes, and homemade biscuits.

I marinated some pork chops in zesty italian dressing for two hours, then baked them in the oven, made mashed potatoes and gravy, and homemade biscuits to go with them.

It was mmm mmm good!
